About the Sniper-Hockey Machine
What is the Sniper-Hockey Machine?
The Sniper-Hockey Machine is a fully automated target shooting system that mounts to a standard hockey net. It uses motorized curtains to open, close, and resize target zones anywhere in the net at the push of a button. With over 3 million possible target combinations, it’s the most advanced piece of hockey training equipment ever built for shooting accuracy.
How is this different from a regular shooting tarp?
Traditional shooting tarps are static. They have 4 or 5 pre-cut holes and never change. The Sniper-Hockey Machine is dynamic. You can place a target of any size, anywhere in the net, and change it instantly. It’s the difference between training on the same five spots forever and training on the specific spot you actually need to improve.
Is it really 3 million combinations?
Yes. Because both the location and the size of the target can be adjusted independently, the number of possible target configurations exceeds 3 million. You’ll never run out of new ways to challenge yourself.
Training and Performance
How does the Sniper-Hockey Machine improve hockey shot accuracy?
It lets you train with intention. Every player has a weak spot in the net. The machine isolates that spot so you can take focused, repeated shots at it until it becomes a strength. That kind of targeted hockey skills training is how real accuracy is built, and it’s something static tarps simply can’t offer.
Can it help me improve my hockey shot if I’m a beginner?
Absolutely. Start with a larger target opening to build confidence and shot mechanics, then shrink the target as your accuracy improves. The machine adapts to your skill level, making it effective hockey training equipment for everyone from young players learning to lift the puck to pros refining a one-timer.
Is this useful for advanced or professional players?
Yes. Junior hockey players, NHL pros, PWHL athletes, and elite-level shooters all have spots in the net where they’re weakest. The Sniper-Hockey Machine gives them a way to train those specific weaknesses with precision that traditional equipment can’t match.
What shots can I practice?
Any shot, to anywhere in the net. Top corners, low corners, cross-bar, five-hole, narrow horizontal bands along the ice, vertical lanes down the post. If you can imagine a target on the net, the machine can create it.
Who is the Sniper-Hockey Machine for?
Individual players, coaches, training camps, hockey teams, junior programs, professional teams, training facilities, and hockey schools. Anyone who takes shooting accuracy seriously and wants a real edge over the traditional approach to hockey skills training.
Can I use it for solo training?
Yes. You don’t need a goalie, coach, or training partner. Set the target, take your shots, change the target with a button press, and keep going. It turns any rink or shop into a complete training environment.
Can we train in groups?
Yes. The Sniper-Hockey machine is excellent for creating shooting competitions in groups. It’s not a goalie, it’s a machine. It doesn’t get tired, and it doesn’t need a break.
On-Ice and Off-Ice Use
Is this off-ice hockey training equipment or on-ice equipment?
Both. The Sniper-Hockey Machine comes in two versions. The on-Ice version is designed for arenas and rinks. It covers 90% of the net. There is also a shop version built for off-ice shooting pads and training facilities. It includes a sub-floor that opens up 100% of the net, including shots along the ice surface.
Whether you’re looking for ice hockey training equipment for your rink or off-ice hockey training equipment for your home shooting pad or training center, there’s a version built for you.
Can I use it at home?
The shop version is ideal for home training setups, garages, basements, and shooting pad areas. If you have the space for a standard hockey net plus a shooting surface, the machine fits in. It’s some of the most effective off-ice hockey training equipment available for serious home training.
Will it work with my existing hockey net?
The Sniper-Hockey Machine is designed to integrate with standard hockey nets. Contact us to discuss your specific setup and we’ll walk you through compatibility.
The Technology
Why does sports training automation matter?
Hockey has always invested in technology that improves performance, from heat-molded skates to custom-flex sticks to video analysis software. Shooting practice, though, has been stuck with the same static tarps for decades. Sports training automation brings hockey training into 2026, applying the same engineering principles used in industrial robotics and manufacturing to a tool built specifically for hockey players.
Does it require special power or installation?
The Sniper-Hockey machine runs on standard power. Setup is straightforward, and we provide full guidance on installation for both the on-ice and shop versions.
How loud is it?
The curtain system is electrically driven and quiet in operation. The loudest sound during use is the same one you’d hear from any shooting practice: pucks hitting the back of the net.
Pricing, Purchasing, and Demos
How much does the Sniper-Hockey Machine cost?
Pricing depends on the version (on-ice or shop), customization options, and installation requirements. We are currently accepting inquiries from hockey teams and organizations only, as we build toward full-scale production. Contact us for a personalized quote.
Can I see the machine before I buy?
Yes. Private viewings can be arranged. In the coming months, the team will also be traveling between arenas to offer free shooting practices so players and coaches can experience the machine firsthand. Get in touch to arrange a viewing or be notified when a demo comes to your area.
